• My Comments: 음악적인 면에서는 별다를 것이 없는 평범한 혹은 그 이하의 영상물이다. 다만 연출이 약간 특이하긴 하지만, 유럽의 지루한 청중들을 위해 준비한 미니멀리즘적인 무대가 그다지 마음에 와 닿지 않는다.
  
  더군다나 우스꽝스러운 옷을 입고 나와서 더욱 우스꽝스럽게 노래를 불러대는 밤의 여왕을 보고 나면, 도대체 무슨 생각으로 저런 사람을 캐스팅해서 저런 옷을 입고 노래를 부르게 하는건지에 대해 심각하게 고민을 하게 되리라! 중고로 산 DVD지만, 내가 남에게 다시 팔 엄두가 나지는 않는다.

• My Comments: 다니엘 바렌보임의 지휘, 슈타츠카펠레, 거기에 르네 파페와 도로테아 뢰슈만. 피가로의 결혼은 너무나 많은 음반과 영상물이 싸우고 있는 레드 오션이라고 할 수 있지만 이 정도의 이름이라면 충분히 한 자리를 차지하고도 남음이 있다고 할 수 있다. 돈 바질리오라는 작은 역으로 출연하는 페터 슈라이어를 보는 것도 또 하나의 즐거움이 아닐 수 없다.

• My Comments: 오페라 공연이 재미있을 수 있다는 사실!
  
  민코프스키의 활발한 음악. 펠리시티 롯, 얀 뷰롱, 로랑 나우리... 프랑스 오페라를 연주하는데 있어서 이보다 좋은 조합도 쉽지 않을 것이다. 무조건 봐야 하는 강력 추천 영상물! 원래 오펜바흐 음악에 별 관심이 없기 때문에 별 한개를 깎았지만, 프랑스 음악을 좋아하는 사람들에게는 별 다섯개가 아깝지 않을 것이다.

• My Comments: 호세 쿠라와 마리아 굴레기나. 거기에 리카르도 무티. 그야말로 불꽃이 튀는 진용이 아닐 수 없다. 예상대로 2막까지는 그냥저냥 진행되던 오페라가 3막부터는 처절함으로 타오른다.
  
  쿠라의 팬인 내게는 관습적인 고음을 내지 않은 쿠라를 원망하기보다는 그걸 막았을 것으로 생각되는 무티가 좀더 아쉽긴 하지만... 어쨌든 영상으로 볼 수 있는 마농 레스코 중에서 도밍고의 영상보다는 이게 더 낫다고 느껴졌다.
